How will we ever be able to thank all of you who have been working in the front line with COVID-19 patients?
At Danish Care, we decided to use the Health & Rehab fair to give you all a large pat on the back by offering a masterclass with no less than Prof. Dimitri Beekmann & his PhD Student Anika Fourie, in which they will pick up on the latest considerations regarding the prevention of pressure ulcers and especially prevention in COVID patients in prone position. To guide you through the class, we have Bo Jørgensen from the Wound Healing Centre at Bispebjerg Hospital, who will ensure a focus on the Danish perspective.

Meet the Key-note speakers
Prof. Dimitri Beeckman
is a Professor of Skin Integrity and Clinical Nursing at Ghent University (Belgium). He holds visiting professorships at Örebro University (Sweden), University of Surrey (UK), Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (Ireland), Monash University (Australia), and University of Southern Denmark (Denmark). He is an expert in skin integrity research, clinical trials and instrument development and validation. He authored over 120 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
Anika Fourie is a PhD student at Ghent University, Belgium.
She has a critical care nursing background and is a qualified wound care specialist (M.Sc. Clinical Skin Integrity & Wound Management, univ. Hertfordshire, UK) from South Africa.
For 11 years she worked in the industry sector, with responsibilities.
Chief physician and responsible for dissertations at the Wound Healing Centre at Bispebjerg Hospital.
